Bio/Info:
I've dinked with computer graphics as a "hobbyist" since the late 1980's, although I am a computer
programmer by actual trade. In the beginning of 2008, I started a side business that went along with
both my interest in computer graphics and my uniform of choice, the humble t-shirt. I stumbled upon
Zazzle (a print-on-demand, or POD site), the bond was formed, and I've since had a great time creating
designs that one or two others have also appreciated. A couple of months later, on a t-shirt-inspired
project, I also found DAZ 3D, and have since incorporated it as yet another avenue for producing
wonderful and (hopefully) entertaining designs.
"My Grad Party" was assembled by pulling together multiple elements from various sources in the 3D modeling world,
and all but the hair on the female alien was free! If the scene looks like a pretty heavy advertisement for the University
of Jupiter, it is - or at least for the various artifacts that I have for sale at my Zazzle shop. Somehow, my twisted sense
of humor has also somehow managed to find its way into the scene. I've been working on this scene for several weeks
now, trying to get everything staged "just so" to re-create what might be a typical photograph at an alien graduation
party. The final bit to come together was the stein in the goth alien's hand. This prop was crafted for me by William
Hurt ("Age of Armour" in the DAZ forums and at AgeOfArmour.com), so he of course deserves some special recognition
and thanx for that - here's to you, William! The scene was entirely rendered from within DAZ, with no post-work other
than to add the copyright info.
