Notes from the Electric
Easel
This month brought us several new artists and some returning favorites!
I wanted to comment on Home Sick by Justin Hill.

When I first saw this submission, I was moved by the feeling of being so alone
and lonely of missing the familiar and safe environment of home. We have all
been in a place where we did not have loved ones or anything to relate to. It
was obvious this piece of art was destined to be the cover.

Now for another take on being away from home! Wilddeej, or in mundane terms
Jim Howard's My Grad Party, was a close second to getting this months cover.
He did indeed capture the wild freedom of being away from home and doing
what is the most exciting part of school.... PARTY! Yea! I just love this
whimsical play on the day that many students can't wait for. So be sure to
check out the close up and live vicariously through these carefree kids!

Returning artist Marianne Gillard gives us a new look in 'The Nursery'! I think
that the real "Alien" created in the Gieger has to be one of the most memorable
creatures ever conceived!  And speak of conceiving! This nursery is brimming
with little monsters....

Yeah, I did something... she is not really pleased to be the Reluctant Guest. But
hey some people (*or creatures) have different ideas about hospitality....

Our newest artist is Hawk Shango. A talented person that has a real feel for
Science Fiction and the way it projects into the future.
